3 Tours you can not miss in Quepos

26 August, 2016

Quepos Manuel Antonio is not just about going to the beach or fishing. There are many other activities to enjoy, from horseback riding, hot springs, rafting, canopy, parasailing, waterfalls and much more. But there are 3 especial tours we recommend; here they are:

Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

First: Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

know its story, and as you walk along the paths, you’ll learn about the use of the plants, trees and habitat of the animals, from your tourist guide.

Snakes, frogs, worms and rodents like the coati and raccoon are the first ones to welcome you. After 25 minutes of slow walk you will find the most beautiful beach in Central America according to TripAdvisor’s users.

The sloth and monkeys are the inhabitants of the beach so ¡Prepare your camera, it is selfie time!

Second: The Catamaran Tour

Leaving Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, the catamaran tour (4 hours) is perfect for exploring the coast while you relax and enjoy the sea breeze. The attentive staff offers drinks during the tour. You will get to know the marine part of the National Park and its beaches. Then the catamaran stops at Playa Biezans in order for you to jump into the water to snorkel and see the reef and fish. A large buffet is prepared afterwards.  Get ready to enjoy excellent food prepared in the same catamaran by a local chef.

Third: Mangroves of Damas Island

Just 7 minutes from downtown Quepos is Damas Island’s Mangrove. The tour (4 hours) can be done in double or single kayaks, or if you prefer, on a panga boat type with comfortable seats.
Learn about the three existing types of mangrove, its importance and how they balance the ecosystem.  Seabirds, crabs, white-faced monkeys and snakes are part of the species that you will see.

Each of these tours includes transportation; a guide from the tour company comes to look for  at the hotel and answer all your questions. Food and/or refreshments are included in these activities.
