5 reasons to visit Quepos Costa Rica after April

29 April, 2016

We are nearing to the end of summer and contrary to what many think, after april is even better to visit #QueposCostaRica. Let me tell you why…

#1. Lower Prices

Starting may every tourism business in Quepos will drop the prices. We recommend you tell the seller you know the item is available for a lower price.

Transportation: Air transfers from San Jose International Airport  Quepos (20 minutes fly) via Sansa will cost as low as $73 per person one way.

Ground transportation: Oficial Red Taxis can take you from San Jose to Quepos for only $130 up to 4 passengers.

Lodging: Best Western Kamuk Hotel & Casino located in the heart of Quepos, the rate is $80 plus taxes in double occupancy including breakfast with ocean view daily at Mira Olas Restaurant.

Tours & Activities: More than 20 different tours in Quepos area are available for less than $60 per person, the majority of the tours include meals and/or refreshments.

#2. Wheather

The country is going quickly filled with more clouds on the upper parts, which trigger short-term rains. The rainy season is starting, but in Quepos is perfect because mornings are sunny, some clouds appears in the early afternoons and the rain show up at night.

After april the area still hot but not dry, the gungle receive the fare share of water daily and everything looks greener. Is time for bird watching in Damas Island Mangrove, also at Manuel Antonio National Park.

#3. Availability

Air tiquets, ground transportation and hotels have more availability. Quepos town stores and restaurants have less traffic of people.

Tour companies offer good discounts when you call direct and some of them are flexible on hours due to less people in the activities.

#4. Less Traffic

Although we have no traffic problems in Quepos you will find fewer cars on the roads after April.

In this moment the main bridge to entrance Quepos is under construction, for that reason 300 meters before you have to turn left. You can read instruction on how to get to Quepos downtown in another blog posted in early april.

#5. No lines to entrance Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio National Park entrance is clear, after April you don t need to make lines for 35 minutes or more. Entrance fee is $16 for tourist, coconut water available for sale while buying tiquets.
