Easter Week Is Coming

As every year the City of Quepos is ready for the upcoming Easter Holy week (Semana Santa). During this time Costa Ricans (or “Ticos“) get together with their loved ones and partake in religious celebrations. Catholic churches in every town organize masses and colorful processions, specifically on Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Easter Holy Week in Costa Rica is also an important time for family-oriented beach excursions. As soon as the New Year arrives people start looking for hotel space and making plans to visit the most beautiful beaches and national parks. This year we have a full week off starting on April 10th until the 16th.
