In our previous blog we inform you about the beautiful beaches that are around our Canton, Quepos. So now we want to tell you about the individual beauties each one of them has, starting with Playa Linda.
Playa Linda, is a beautiful beach with grayish sands and open sea blue waters surrounded by lush vegetation, consisting mainly of almond and coconut trees. It is located in the town of Savegre, Canton of Quepos, in the province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Playa Linda is one of the most beautiful corners of the Central Pacific coast of the country, making it ideal to relax and enjoy the sun and the sea, or to practice some water sports such as swimming, diving, snorkeling and fishing. It is an open sea beach with strong waves.
How to get to Playa Linda in Quepos, Puntarenas?
From San José
Drive north toward Puntarenas on Highway # 27.
Take the Pozón (towards Jacó), continue along this road for about 132 km (82 miles) past the Tárcoles River, the villages of Jacó, Hermosa, Esterillos, Parrita and Quepos.
About 12 km (7 miles) after passing over the Savegre River, turn right, continue for 1 km (0.5 miles), turn left and continue for about 500 m (1,650 ft) more until you reach Playa Linda. This route requires a total of 3 hours from San Jose.
From the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR)
Drive northeast to Liberia. Once in Liberia, continue along the same highway in the direction of Puntarenas for about 120 km (75 miles).
Once at the entrance to Puntarenas, continue along route # 27 to San José for about 25 km (15 miles) until you reach the entrance of Pozón and Tárcoles. Take this exit, continue along this road for about 132 km (82 miles) past the Tarcoles River, the villages of Jacó, Hermosa, Esterillos, Parrita and Quepos.

By bus:
You can take a bus from San José – Dominical / Uvita (Transportes Delio Morales, +506 2221-4214 / +506 2777-0318 / +506 2223-5567), stopping at Playa Matapalo, which takes about 5 hours.
From Matapalo, you should take a taxi or walk to Playa Linda. It is recommended to buy the ticket one day before to secure your space.
